Shadenet Essentials™ makes growing crops under shade net PRACTICAL and STRESS FREE
Shadenet Essentials™ is a range of accessories developed in South Africa for growers who use shade / net cloth structures for their plants, fruits, or vegetables. All of our products use UV stabilised plastic so that our clips do not disintegrate under the African sun.
The Purpose of this range is to make the installation of shade net structures easier, protect the shade cloth, reduce maintenance costs, and to make any changes needed easier.
This range includes the Original Shade Cloth Clips, Clip On and Clips Off clip previously: ShadeNet Essentials open and close clips, and ShadeNet Essentials pole caps.
The Original Shade Cloth Clips
Our Shade Cloth Clips are the original shade cloth clip, designed and created in 1996 in South Africa. They come in two sizes; the small shade cloth clip fits over a 6mm cable for an agricultural net structure and the large shade cloth clip fits over a 12mm cable. Our standard colours are green and black.
Clip On and Off Clips
Our patent pending Clip On and Clip Off clips previously: Easy Open and Close Clips fit over 6mm cable. the shade cloth clip fits through the gap. It allows for the shade net to be opened hassle free so that direct sunlight can reach plants or fruit when needed. The open and close clip works with both the small and large shade cloth clips.

The Pole Cap is designed to fit over the top of the poles in a shade net structure. It has a 120mm diameter. The grooves at the top allow for wires or cables to fit over the pole, acting as a guide to hold them in place as well as preventing rubbing. The pole caps help to prevent the pole from rotting because they stop water getting into the end of the pole. The plastic design stops the shade cloth rubbing against the pole. Our newest 130mm Pole Cap has just been released! You can order these directly from our factory. We sell these and our 120mm pole caps in pack of 10, or in bulk (min order quantity 150)
Over time, when poles are not protected, the pole splits, making the wire to cut in to the pole. This causes damage to the pole and affects the structure that depends on the pole.
On windy days, the shade net moves against the exposed pole and can end up tearing your shade net.
Our pole caps are designed with grooves for the wires to sit in over the end of the pole without damaging the pole. Additionally, it protects the pole from water damage rotting the inside of it. It also protects the shade cloth from being chaffed.
This pole cap has a diameter of 100mm. It prevents damage to the end of the pole while creating an aesthetically pleasing finish to a shade net structure. It does not include grooves like our 120mm and 130mm pole caps. These also work on the end of show jumping poles (Safety4horses™)
