Shade Cloth Clips: What Are They?
These are clips designed to be used in the installation of shade net / cloth houses, carports, and veggie gardens among any other structure that uses shade cloth / hail net.
About Our Shade Cloth Clips
Shade Cloth Clips are our founding product, designed and developed in 1996 in our factory in KZN South Africa. They are widely used in agriculture, large and small nurseries and for things like car shade ports. These are available in bulk through your local hardware / agricultural store, or you can buy them directly from us (and we will arrange delivery to you). We do offer volume discounts and your contribution to delivery costs is dependent on the size of the order (for large orders we deliver free of charge) and whether you are in South Africa or having these clips exported to another country. These innovative (patented) plastic clips hold shade net / cloth or hail net to a wire. They also come in two sizes (to fit over either 6mm cable or 12mm cable) and any colour. We use a Southern African 10+ year UV stabilisation package and will last for many years in the harsh Southern African weather conditions.

Benefits
Shade net structures become significantly less expensive to construct when using our shade net clips compared to a traditional shade cloth structure. The shade cloth is also MUCH easier to install and maintain than the traditional shade cloth structure. Shade Cloth remains immaculate using these clips. Although they can be slid along a wire, they are used to secure curtains can also be ideal when the shade cloth position needs to be changed for varying weather conditions e.g. snow or open for sunshine.
How To Install Them
Our clips are installed in three simple steps to create a fixed shade net structure.
- First, line the prongs up with the holes in the shade cloth fibres.
- Second, push the shade cloth clip’s prongs through the shade cloth, making sure all the prongs have gone through.
- Third, place the clip with the shade cloth over the wire and close the clip.
